Mission Statement Daniela Hoff Dance Company creates work, that is inspired by emotional drive, inner conflicts, as well as by the physical extreme. It invents and explores raw, elemental movements, minimal, organic and awkward, and finds the beauty and necessity in it. The choreography deals with interpersonal relationships of strong individuals, which are different through culture, language or social envirement. Daniela has developed her own movement system, that connects to human emotional qualities through movement, which invites the audience to experience the work on an emotional and energetic level. The technique, interconnecting motion, breath and energy, educates the dancers to develop new strategies by discovering and opening blockages and symptoms. Daniela Hoff experiments with the close collaboration between composer/musician and choreographer/dancer using existing and original music. photo Frederique Porter
