Classes/Workshops
Classes are taught on an ongoing base or in workshop format. We offer group or private instruction for dancers and non- dancers in movement/dance classes based on a new Method, developed by Daniela Hoff, and in SRI (Somato Respiratory Integration). SRI classes/ private sessions SRI, Somato (Body) Respiratory ( Breathing) Integration™ is a healing technique developed by Dr. Donald Epstein. It is designed to offer you new options in your experience of your body and your personal healing. It educates you to your body`s rhythms and inner wisdom through the use of your own hands, gentle breath and movement. SRI provides a tool for focusing your attention on your body, the vessel of human spirit, in a way that works for your healing and empowerment. In these classes you will find the places of peace, connection, disconnection, distress and fuel in your body. SRI can help with injuries and symptoms, but also give you more ease and connection in your movements. You will learn tools of the SRI, that you can also use at home. Dance classes/Workshops These classes begin by learning and connecting into the basics of the SRI. We then take it very slowly into movement, a new Method, which is developed by Daniela Hoff, and was originally inspired by SRI. After opening the body through this very specific and deep method we will take it into space and learn movement phrases based on this Method. This new Method interconnects motion, breath and energy, starting at the spine, radiating out to the rest of the body. It is designed to teach the body, how to move in a healthy way, reducing the chance of injury, by discovering and opening blockages, symptoms and by change of the state of awareness. It educates the dancers to develop new strategies and awareness in their bodies, in a gentle, but deep and effective way. You will experience a complete new awareness while moving. There are areas in your spine, that you might have never moved, even in the most difficult and vigorous dance movements. |
